The Crusaders football season has been both impressive and exciting. They have blown out multiple teams and held their own against powerhouse teams. They finished the regular season with a record of 6-3. The Crusaders last game was an exciting win against the Southern Raiders that earned them a spot in the playoffs.

The Crusaders will go head to head with Boys Town in this first game. This is discouraging news to Crusader fans who remember past match-ups that did not end well for Lincoln Christian. Boys Town is known for having a strong team just about every season. A look at their statistics proves their dominance.

Boys Town finished their regular season with a record of 9-0. Currently the Boys Town team averages nearly 200 rushing yards per game and about 56 receiving yards. These stats alone show the offensive dominance of Boys Town, and Crusader head coach Kurt Earl knows it. He gave a few insights into how the Crusaders are preparing.

“Boys Town has some really athletic players that we have to contain on defense. We must work as a team and not let the ball carrier get out in space and break a big play on us,” said Coach Earl.

He also disclosed some of the Crusader strengths going into the playoff game. He feels that the team has “peaked” and are playing at their very best. Coach Earl also said that the team is completely healthy for Friday. “…we’re excited to see what we can do at full strength”.

Boys Town is looking strong going into this playoff game, but it is clear that Coach Earl and his players are confident and optimistic about the game. Whatever happens the game is sure to be one for the books.
